When we think “plastic surgery”, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Plastic surgery is most common among middle-aged women, who look to plastic surgery procedures for face lifts and rejuvenation techniques and even liposuction procedures. Surprisingly, however, plastic surgery procedures have grown more popular among men over the last several years.
Studies recently conducted and released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) indicate that more men are undergoing plastic surgery procedures today than ever before. Face lifts for men rose 14 percent and male liposuction increased 7 percent in 2010 alone. Also, 2010 ASPS statistics show that men underwent more than 1.1 million cosmetic procedures, both levels of complexity including minor and major surgical procedures.
