Caitlyn’s surgeons did state that she had some anxiety issues—which were treated with medication—following surgery. The reason for the anxiety issues is a bit surprising.
Dr. Atler—who was another one of Caitlyn’s surgeons—said,” “It’s difficult to suddenly get the realization that you’re getting the fulfillment of what you’ve always wanted to have done.” He also said the anxiety Caitlyn experienced is common, and can happen to anyone that undergoes a major change in their appearance.
After the initial anxiety went away, Caitlyn could enjoy her results.
Dr. Lee mentioned , ” She healed remarkably fast. Maybe because she’s an Olympic athlete… I mean, at 65, she is in remarkable health.”
In addition, he stated,” “I don’t want to show off, but I think she’s ecstatic with the results.”
