Carolyn graduated from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Nursing. She is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Honor Society. She started her career in the field of maternal and early child care to which she dedicated 12 years; for the past 14 years she has specialized in plastic surgery nursing care. She participates actively in all dimensions of nursing care including preoperative assessment and care, intraoperative management and immediate as well as long-term postoperative care, a dedication that our patients truly appreciate. She finds continuity of care to be an extremely gratifying portion of her job. She loves dedicating time and effort to our patients, help them with the preoperative questions that they may have, take care of them after the procedure and answer thoroughly all their questions and concerns.
Her hobbies include jogging, biking, gardening, cooking and travel. Her primary passion in the past 6 years has been her role as a Big Sister. She recently accepted a position at Light of the World with the goal of starting up the stateside Florida program for underserved individuals who require surgery. This role focuses primarily on patients from Florida, but involves also international missions.
