Although it has become quite common for men and women to have a range of cosmetic surgery procedures done nowadays, there are more and more instances of sibling plastic surgery coming to light, where sisters (and brothers in some instances) have decided to have all the same procedures performed as their siblings. Below are just a few examples of siblings who made the decision to follow in each other’s cosmetic surgery footsteps.
The Coley Sisters
The most recent example of sibling plastic surgery involves that of the Coley sisters, Karyse and Deanna. Both sisters endured many years of teasing at school because of the shape of their noses, which resulted in them feeling highly self-conscious about themselves. As a result, they decided to schedule their rhinoplasty surgeries together – with the same surgeon as well. When the sisters were interviewed about their decision, Karyse stated, “We had the surgery on the same day to support each other, this was a big thing for us and something that would change the way we felt about ourselves for the rest of our lives – of course I would want my sister with me to support and vice versa.”
Anna and Lucy DeCinque
To date, Australian Twin sisters Anna and Lucy DeCinque have spent more than $200,000 on a range of plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures to ensure that they look 100% identical. To date, the procedures that the sisters have had performed include breast implants, tattooed eyebrows and lip enhancements. The twins regularly go for infrared sauna treatments and have weekly skin peel treatments together as well. When asked about their desire to look alike and their reason for having surgery, Anna stated, “We like looking after ourselves, what girl doesn’t? When we go out, we get so many guys saying they want to marry the both of us or date the both of us.”
The Bogdanoff Twins
Although most cases of plastic surgery result in the patients looking more radiant and attractive than before, there are a few instances where it doesn’t just go wrong, it goes horrendously wrong. Such is the case with the Bogdanoff twins a few years ago. Originally known for being considered as the heart-throbs of French TV in the 1980s, twin brothers Grichka and Igor Bogdanoff were known for hosting their own prime time science fiction series. However, since having a plethora of sibling plastic surgery procedures, such as chin implants, cheek implants, Botox and a number of other filler treatments performed, they have become completely unrecognizable.
